A Thompson Princess | Adoption

The Thompson’s officially added another member to their tribe this week. And, it’s a GIRL. This little girl doesn’t know how lucky she is to have such sweet and loving parents, and I’m pretty sure her new brothers are going to fight off every boy that comes near her for years and years to come.

Lauren and Ted just recently adopted Kaiden into their family, and on the same day that adoption was finalized, they got the call about Tenley. She is the perfect fit for their family, and no doubt loved by all of their extended family and friends.

Congratulations on your sweet little girl, Thompsons! I can’t wait to photograph your family pictures this fall!

Demi Lee’s Nursery Reveal |Baby

It’s hard to believe that two short weeks ago, Demi Lee entered the world. I had the pleasure of photographing her birth and her Fresh 48 session. And yesterday, we spent the morning photographing some new memories for mommy and daddy — her nursery reveal!

Demi’s mommy is a ballerina. So it was only fitting that her room be full of soft pinks and ballet things. Amanda did an incredible job putting together such a sweet nursery for her baby girl.

Mr & Mrs McDonald | Married

Malauri and Chance are married! This sweet couple tied the knot at a beautiful venue outside of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. With a hurricane brewing and taking aim at Florida, the love bugs were in abundance on their special day and the massive heat and humidity that we had been having gave us a break and it was a beautiful day! No humidity is just what the bride asked for, and God blessed her with a comfortable day!

Seeing Malauri walking down the isle with her daddy brought back many memories for me. I’ve watched her grow up since she was born and seeing the beautiful young lady that she is walking to her groom was such a sweet moment!

Congrats to the happy couple! Wishing you a lifetime of wedding bliss!

Demi Lee | Fresh 48

A photographer is sometimes asked to be present in the most precious events in people’s lives. From engagements to weddings, and from birth through all the baby’s milestones — our job is to capture moments for people to treasure for a lifetime. And last Friday, I was able to capture the most precious event in a couple’s lives — the birth of their first child. I’ll be leaving the birth pictures for them to share as a family, if they decide to do so. But, let me tell you, it was an incredible experience. And I’m so happy I was able to be there for them. The pictures are breathtaking!

The following day I came back to the hospital for the baby’s Fresh 48 session. She was so sweet and snuggly, and was the perfect subject for me to photograph. OH, and mom and dad were looking amazing just 24 hours after this sweetness came in the world.

The Riekebergs | Family

This sweet family asked me to do a lifestyle session with them at their home before I left for vacation, and I’m just now stopping long enough to blog about them. Lacretia has been keeping me busy photographing all her real estate listings, and FYI, those houses aren’t lasting long on the market!

She wanted some new marketing photos for her business, and wanted some new family shots as well. So we had some fun with the entire family, even their sweet dog, Purdy!

Showering Baby Demi Lee | Event

Capturing memories for people is why I am a photographer. You can never have enough pictures, and I’m always so excited to help capture the here and now for people to remember later.

A few weeks ago I was asked to photograph a special little baby shower for a sweet princess to be! When I say it was the perfect shower, it was. I’m so happy I could be a part of their day.

Amanda is a professional ballerina. I mean, Demi Lee has no idea how cool her mommy is, but I’m sure she will find out soon enough! And when I think of a ballerina, I think of a soft, graceful dancer. And today’s shower was just that, soft and graceful!

The Reyes |Kids

The Reyes family have become sweet friends of ours. The friendship started off last year during Preschool and Mother’s Day Out. Our kids are the same age, and were in class together. Once they became friends, Lindsey and I were introduced and we became fast friends. We found out in May that this sweet family is moving to another state at the end of summer. And, well, we are crushed. My kids ask everyday to see Stephen, Becca and Mae, and I know once they move many tears will be shed. So, we are spending as much time together as we can this summer to make memories.

Lindsey wanted some updated pictures of her littles, and the weather has not been cooperating on the days we have planned. So, we got up EARLY this morning, and the outcome was perfection!

Mr & Mrs Morland | Wedding

Madelyn and Bobby Ray’s wedding might go down in history as the hottest wedding in April, ever. Hottest as in temperature and in chemistry. This was the first time I had met this couple in person, and their love for each other and for their family was a beautiful sight to behold!

I think everyone was happy the nasty weather that was headed that way held off till the next day. Thankfully the crazy wind kept us a bit cooled off throughout the afternoon and evening.

Despite the heat and wind, everything was gorgeous! The location, flowers, music, and the sweetest words spoken at their wedding made their day perfect! Both the bride and the groom’s dads about had me in tears several times!

Congratulations to Madelyn and Bobby Ray! I wish you and your family a lifetime of love and happiness!

Randy, Grace & Colton | Family

Back in the fall, I photographed Randy and Grace for her maternity photo session. We laughed and had a great time, and I couldn’t wait to meet little Colton!

This little guy was born two months ago, and he is so handsome and sweet. We moved from place to place and he was happy as can be! I can’t wait to see him crack a smile soon, and before we know it he will be sitting up by himself! But time, please don’t pass too soon!
