Mr & Mrs McDonald | Married

Malauri and Chance are married! This sweet couple tied the knot at a beautiful venue outside of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. With a hurricane brewing and taking aim at Florida, the love bugs were in abundance on their special day and the massive heat and humidity that we had been having gave us a break and it was a beautiful day! No humidity is just what the bride asked for, and God blessed her with a comfortable day!

Seeing Malauri walking down the isle with her daddy brought back many memories for me. I’ve watched her grow up since she was born and seeing the beautiful young lady that she is walking to her groom was such a sweet moment!

Congrats to the happy couple! Wishing you a lifetime of wedding bliss!

Mr & Mrs Morland | Wedding

Madelyn and Bobby Ray’s wedding might go down in history as the hottest wedding in April, ever. Hottest as in temperature and in chemistry. This was the first time I had met this couple in person, and their love for each other and for their family was a beautiful sight to behold!

I think everyone was happy the nasty weather that was headed that way held off till the next day. Thankfully the crazy wind kept us a bit cooled off throughout the afternoon and evening.

Despite the heat and wind, everything was gorgeous! The location, flowers, music, and the sweetest words spoken at their wedding made their day perfect! Both the bride and the groom’s dads about had me in tears several times!

Congratulations to Madelyn and Bobby Ray! I wish you and your family a lifetime of love and happiness!

Mr & Mrs Upchurch | Wedding

Fall finally arrived in Alabama, and it made for the perfect day for Jordyne and Drew’s outdoor wedding. This was my first time to meet any of the Buckner or Upchurch family, and they were game for just about anything that day. Their wedding party was large, but extremely fun. I had a blast working with them to create fun and memorable photographs that they’ll have for a lifetime.

Congratulations Jordyne and Drew! I wish y’all all the best!

Enjoy some of my favorites from their wedding day.

Mr & Mrs Taylor | Wedding

Amberly and Daryel Taylor tied the knot last Saturday at a gorgeous location in Livingston, Alabama called Mimosa Ridge. I was asked to photograph their wedding last March, and even though I’ve been with them for their engagement pictures and her bridals — all those months flew right on by.

The couple along with their family and friends stayed in the cabins and made it a weekend event. No detail was left untouched for this big day. You know those who make boards on pinterest and pin away? Well, they not only pinned, but they also included a lot of those ideas into their wedding. It’s the wedding most people dream about, but they made it their reality.

Everything was perfect from the flowers to the hair, and I was honored to capture all the events of the day for memories that will last a lifetime.

Enjoy a few of my favorites from their wedding day.

Amberly | Here Comes The Bride

A few weeks ago, Amberly and her mom traveled over to Birmingham so we could get her bridal portraits taken before her big day. Her sister lives here, too, and she was able to glam her from head to toe.

Her wedding day was yesterday, so I’m sharing my favorites from her session.

We took these at the Botanical Garden here in Birmingham, and it was the perfect backdrop for these photos.

Clare & Kegan | Wedding

As I mentioned in my last post, I was able to snap a few pictures of the actual wedding for the bride and groom.

The wedding took place at Burritt on the Mountain. It was stunning. The view, the beauty — it was the perfect place to have a wedding! The colors that Clare and Kegan chose complimented the garden for the wedding, and the reception hall.

Before the wedding, I captured this little gem. Be still my heart!

We chose to sit on the back row in case the girls had a meltdown. Avery ended up sitting on the grass beside me so her view wasn’t blocked, and it was the perfect little spot for me to photograph some memories for the bride and groom.

We are so happy we could be at the wedding to celebrate your day.

Wedding Day Transformation | Wedding

Clare and Kegan tied the knot on a beautiful mountain overlooking Huntsville, Alabama. The day started off rainy and stormy, but God gave us a glorious evening for their outdoor wedding. We are part of the family, so they hired a Huntsville photographer to photograph the actual wedding.

The mother of the bride, Susan, asked me to come up early that morning to capture the getting ready stage of the wedding day. My crew came along so we wouldn’t have two vehicles two hours away from home. My girls LOVED watching everyone get their hair and makeup done by The Transformation (and getting to play with their cousin’s doll house and Clare’s “puppy” Lily).

Even though I wasn’t the main photographer, I still captured a little bit from their wedding. Stay tuned…
