In two short months, this family of three will welcome twins girls. Big brother is pretty excited about them, and I know mom and dad are patiently waiting for their arrival.
Earlier today I captured the last set of professional pictures for this family of three. We had some fun and made sure big brother, Sam, was the center of attention.

We’ve had the pleasure of knowing the Chaffin family for a few months now, and they are just the sweetest! Amber is like my long lost sister. We’re basically twins from what we like to eat, things we like to do, oh, and did I mention our kids are both fifteen months apart?
Little Judah is about to be dedicated in church in a few weeks, and they needed some up-to-date pictures of him, and of their family. So we scheduled a time for late September (thinking it would be cooler) to have them taken. Y’all we we started at 8:45 a.m. and we didn’t even take the first picture before we were sweating to death. I’m so over this heat, and so ready for actual Fall temps.
Even though everyone, including the boys, were over the heat and sweat — their session turned out great! These are a few of my favorites from their session.

It’s Fall!! Hallelujah! Now if the temps would follow suit, I’ll be a little happier. To kick off my favorite season I took my first Fall mini session of twenty sixteen.
The Herron family consists of two sweet parents, and two adorable little boys which the camera loved. I couldn’t have asked for more cooperative subjects to photograph!
I loved that Krystle took time out to get her hair and makeup professionally done before the session yesterday evening. Katie at SpaOne80 did a fabulous job adding to her beauty and giving her all the confidence that she needed to rock their session.

The weekend is drawing near, but I’m sitting here begging for cooler temperatures to arrive in Alabama. It just doesn’t seem right to pull all the Fall decorations out, even though I did see a few leaves in the yard this week. And it looks like the leaves are already starting to change over thanks to this long dry spell we’re having.

It’s GAME DAY!!! And all is right in the world again.
Maybe not, but it is the first game of Mississippi State football for the 2016 season. And this house couldn’t be happier! We’ve got our cowbells ready, our maroon on, and we are ready to cheer the dawgs to victory.
My littles will be heading back to Mother’s Day Out (MDO) and preschool soon. Our little buddy, Brayden, who was in Avery’s class last year will be attending a different preschool this year. So we got together to take some back to school pictures, and let the kids play one more time before school starts back.
My girls were not into taking pictures. Little bit was sleepy, and the other one just wanted to play. So, these aren’t the best, but at least we got two!
It’s hard to believe, but our littlest love has turned ONE! That year went by waaaay too fast! A couple of days before her birthday I took her smash cake photos. Needless say it was first for me, and for her. And I couldn’t have asked for a better “first!”

Wade, Robin and Sammy (as Terry likes to call him) have been friends of ours going on two years now. We met them at church and are in small group together. Wade (and Robin) are actually the leaders of our small group. An all around sweet and compassionate family that we are proud to know.
We had a cookout at our home Memorial Day, and while the grill was going it was the perfect time to take some family pictures for them.
We’ve been holding a secret. A secret that when we were told, we almost fell out of our chairs.
Sweet Sammy doesn’t look too happy about the TWINS that are coming in December to make this family a party of five!!
We can’t wait to welcome their new additions after Thanksgiving this year.
Let’s be honest here. I take pictures of my girls each and every day. But, I’ve always hired other photographers to take the big moments of their lives — newborn, birthday, family, etc sessions. My husband, family, and friends have always asked why I don’t take them on big occasions myself? Well, I finally decided I’d take Lenley’s 1st birthday pictures and see how it goes. You know how your own children are your best and worst clients? So we will see how her smash cake session goes in the coming days.
I still love someone else taking our family pictures. So we will still try to have someone else take our family photo every year.
