The Thompsons | Family

Ted, Lauren, Tripp, and Kaiden had their family pictures made late Fall last year, but I’m just now able to share them with y’all. You can read the previous post for more information about that.

We met at Oak Mountain State Park and had a ball taking pictures. The Thompsons were able to pick out one to use on their Christmas card, and I bet you’ll be able to figure out which one it was from my favorites! I can’t wait to see how much these boys have grown next Fall!

I’m so excited to finally be able to release these pictures on the blog. Enjoy my favorites from their session!

Kaiden | Adopted

I got to witness and photograph another adoption this month. This time it was personal friends of mine, however, this wasn’t the first time I’ve photographed them as a family of four. But, this is the first time I can share pictures of them with Kaiden!

This is one close knit family, and it was heartwarming to see all of them in attendance for today’s hearing. I’m so happy for Ted, Lauren, and Tripp as they welcome their newest official member of the family, Kaiden. I’m pretty sure if you ask Tripp, he’d say Kaiden became his brother over a year ago!

Congratulations to the Thompsons! All FOUR of you!

Here are some of my favorites from the adoption hearing.

Judah | One Year Old

I met little Judah when he was just a few months old during VBS at our church last summer. He was so snuggly, and we all fought over who was going to hold him every day. And now, this little man is about to be ONE!

He has some of the sweetest parents, and we are lucky enough to call them friends! I can’t wait to see this little one start walking soon!

It was hard picking favorites, but here are mine…

The Sowells | Family

During the craziness of the busy season, we stopped and took a moment to take our family pictures! A HUGE thank you to my bestie, Stephanie (plainchicken.com) for meeting us to take them. We have the same camera so I brought her one of my SD cards and she made the magic happen. When we got home I downloaded the pictures to my computer. When I opened them up — I was in love!

No my kids aren’t smiling in every photo. And not every picture is perfect. But, it’s our family pictures and we are happy to have this moment in time captured for our memories! It’s fun to see our yearly pictures and how the girls have changed in a year!

We hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas, and a wonderful New Year! I look forward to capturing memories for you and your family in 2017!!

Enjoy my favorites from our family session!

The Roleys | Family

I’ve had two sessions with this sweet family. One Saturday they came to the house to have a pajama mini session, and then the next Saturday they met me at Oak Mountain for their family session. They’ve been living in South Alabama for the past few years and just moved back to the area. A friend of mine overheard her needing a local photographer and put her in touch with me.

It’s always fun to meet new clients, especially when they have kids about the same age as my girls. Their kiddos kept me laughing, not mention their daddy, too. Thanks again Wade and Kristen for allowing me to capture these moments with y’all.

Enjoy a few of my favorites from both of their sessions.

The Da Silvas | Family

The past few months have been a photographers dream — no rain. While we have desperately needed the rain, it’s been nice not having to reschedule sessions due to the weather.

We had been trying to figure out a time to take the Da Silvas family pictures for a couple of months. Between their soccer schedule and my schedule, we finally decided on the first Sunday in December. Guess what happens? It rains. We decided we weren’t going to let a little rain interfere with their session, and we just moved it inside their home.

The Da Silvas are a big part of our lives, and I’m so happy I could capture some adorable family pictures for them again this year!

Enjoy my favorites from their session — which might or might not be almost all of them! HA!

Christmas PJs | Sowell Sisters

Christmas babies, Christmas pjs, and Christmas books — these are a few of my favorite things!

We ordered the girls their Christmas pajamas back in August, and I was so excited to get them out so they could wear them this holiday season. I had a few requests for Christmas pjs minis, so I set something up and opened up a few spots to take over the next week.

After my first mini session this morning, I got the girls ready for a quick session. Just FYI, your own kids are harder to photograph than anyone else, or at least that’s the way it is for me. But I managed to get some really cute shots of them, and I think I’m going to have to order some ornaments with their pictures on them for their tree!

Enjoy some of my favorites. I might be a little biased, but they couldn’t get much cuter!
